Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati Invites Applications for PhD, M.Pharm, MSc, MTech Candidates

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), established in 1994 as the sixth IIT, started its academic programs in 1995. It currently consists of eleven departments, seven interdisciplinary academic centres, and five schools covering engineering, science, healthcare, management, and humanities. The institute offers a wide range of programs including B.Tech., B.Des., BSc (Hons), M.Tech., M.Des., M.Sc., MBA, M.A., and Ph.D.

Walk-in Interview for Project Positions
Applications are invited for a Walk-in Interview for positions under the project titled "Implementing a comprehensive One Health approach to eliminate dog-mediated rabies" at the Jyoti and Bhupat Mehta School of Health Sciences and Technology, IIT Guwahati.
1. Associate Project Scientist (1 Post)
- Pay: ₹49,000 per month
- HRA: 18% (₹8,820)
- Total Pay: ₹57,820 per month
- Duration: 6 months
- Qualifications:
- PhD with 2-3 years' experience OR MD/M.Tech/ME/M.VSc/M.Pharm/MBBS/BDS with 6 years' experience
- Experience should be in molecular biology laboratory works, bioinformatics, or genomic studies, preferably related to viral infectious diseases
- Role: Carry out laboratory work related to the project and develop surveillance systems
2. Senior Project Scientist (1 Post)
- Pay: ₹54,000 per month
- HRA: 18% (₹9,720)
- Total Pay: ₹63,720 per month
- Duration: 6 months
- Qualifications:
- Masters in Veterinary Sciences specializing in Veterinary Surgery
- Must be registered with National or State Veterinary Council for veterinary practice
- 3-5 years of experience in conducting spaying/hysterectomy in canines
- Experience with ABC campaigns desirable but not essential
- Working knowledge and demonstrable experience of Good Veterinary Practice is essential
