Position: Sr. HSE Engineer

Job Summary: Join our team in Mumbai as a Sr. HSE Engineer to develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety policies and programs across construction and real estate operations. The role requires extensive experience in risk assessment, emergency response planning, fire safety management, audits, and safety training for employees and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or a 3-year full-time Diploma.
- Mandatory: Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (AIDS) from RLI or CLI or State Board of Technical Education.
- Desirable: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in real estate/construction safety and quality practices for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
- Maintain firefighting equipment and coordinate with the city fire brigade.
- Develop and implement fire orders, operational plans, and emergency evacuation strategies.
- Conduct regular safety training, toolbox talks, EHS training, and fire drills for employees and suppliers.
- Manage maintenance and vendor coordination for fire suppression, alarm, detection, and PA systems.
- Perform risk assessments, building inspections, and hazard identification using JSA and audits.
- Initiate and investigate accidents/incidents and prepare monthly HSE statistics.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corporate HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and manage emergency preparedness response plans.
- Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across project sites.
- Drive energy management initiatives and prepare/maintain a comprehensive site risk register.
